UHF CB is fairly short-range. But we have a benefit in this area. There is a repeater on channel 6 at Mount Alexander, which gives you a bit more reach. Be sure to configure your radio for duplex on Channel 6. When so configured, your radio receives on 6, but transmits on 36. The repeater should provide comms over most of Hepburn Shire and Mt. Alexander Shire.
